New Beach house, Bracklesham Bay

A new build 5 bedroomed beach house at Bracklesham Bay, Chichester.

The site had a timber and asbestos house  set back from the beach, which was demolished as part of the building contract.A new house was built overlooking the beach. The new ground floor was at a level of 1m above the surrounding ground levels for flood prevention, and to give a better view over the shingle bank. The principal reception rooms are located on the seaward side, with an open plan living/dining and kitchen on the ground floor. The first floor has a master bedroom  with the remaining beach frontage taken up by a living room with kitchenette and fire place.

The design has a partial steel frame, coloured weatherboarding, natural slate roof and self cleaning glass to the balconies.
